Welcome to the Gameiro Piano Studio's Homepage!
The Gameiro Piano Studio is an independent, trilingual piano studio (Mrs. Gameiro, NCTM speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese) working in the Benbrook/White Settlement/ River Oaks/ Southwest Fort Worth, Texas area. Mrs. Gameiro graduated from TCU with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Music Education in Piano Pedagogy in 2007 and 2009. She studied Piano Pedagogy (the art of teaching piano lessons) under the tutelage of Dr. Ann Gipson and took piano lessons with Mr. Harold Martina. This studio meets at Portales Drive, Fort Worth Texas 76116 (contact for more information!)
Mrs. Gameiro is an active member of the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association, Music Teacher's National Association (for which she is a Nationally Certified Teacher of music and also on their search page for teachers), a Steinway Educational Partner and a Joytunes Teacher. Mrs. Gameiro believes in using technology to aid in the development of student's musical abilities. This studio uses various iPad games including the Joytunes PianoMaestro app (which is an innovative app for iPad in which students read music with accompaniment) in order to help connect to each student in order to keep them fully engaged and playing at all times. It's been proven time and again to help keep student's attention engaged in this day and age.
Another way this studio stays "up with the times" is that now, lessons via FaceTime or Skype are offered as well so Mrs. Gameiro is able to teach anyone not in the same town as well as well as offer lessons this way for those who are unable to drive. It really just depends on how quick your internet connection is.
The goal of this piano studio is to share the love of music with any person who is willing to try and is willing to practice. All students are able to achieve their musical goals as long as they put in time and effort into their practice times.
This studio does not force all students to perform in recitals, as performing is not a goal for all students. However, all students do learn about building piano playing technique through scales and chords, and basic music theory work along with standard classical repertoire.
Mrs. Gameiro, NCTM also teaches a variety of styles of music as long as there is sheet music readily available. For students who do decide on performing in the annual studio recitals, the recitals are held at Steinway Hall of Fort Worth, Texas once a year in the springtime and at local nursing homes, and the Cook's Children's Hospital for Christmas time.
If you are interested, please contact the studio by filling out the registration page. Lessons are $25/half hour and $50/ hour (recommended for adults or more advanced students) which turns out to $100/month $200/month plus the cost of books.
